Use UUIDs in /etc/fstab instead of device files, such as:

UUID=xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-

xxxxxxxxxx /data1 ext3 defaults 0 0

Use # blkid to get the UUID of the filesystem you need. Alternatively, use Yast
partitioner.

UUIDs are a property of the filesystem, therefore don't change when the device
file changes.
